Remove the rear brake pads in the following order:
1) turn on 1st gear and set the stops under the wheels;
2) jack up the car from the side of the wheel to be removed;
3) remove the wheel;
4) remove the filter of the supply tank with brake fluid;
5) pump out part of the brake fluid from the reservoir with a syringe;
6) reinstall the filter;

7) remove cotter pin 1 (pic. 9.9) and finger 2;
8) take out the brake pads;
9) check visually:

- tightness around the piston 3 (pic. 9.10);
- condition and correct fit of the protective cuff 2 and protective corrugated caps 1;
- brake disc wear;
10) replace defective parts;

11) if groove A has disappeared from the brake pads (pic. 9.11), it is necessary to replace the brake pads;
12) clean the brake caliper and brake disc from dust and dirt;

13) with clamp 1 (see fig. 9.5) push the piston into the cylinder until it stops.
Install the rear brake pads in the following order:

- expand piston 1 (pic. 9.12) so that mark A is located above or below groove B;
- install the inner brake shoe together with the spring;
Note. The inner brake pad has a ledge.
- install the outer brake shoe with the spring;

- spread both brake pads until they touch the upper stop 1 (pic. 9.13);
- install pin 3 and new cotter pin 2;
- check the brake fluid level in the supply tank and top up if necessary;
- pull the parking brake lever about ten times;
- reinstall the wheel by tightening the bolts to a torque of 85 Nm;
- lower the back of the car;
- start the engine and press the brake pedal several times with increasing force before moving off.
