Removal and installation of the bearing of a nave of a forward wheel (Peugeot 206)

Remove the front wheel bearing in the following order:

• remove the steering knuckle as described above;
• knock out the hub flange with a mandrel resting on the inside of the flange;
• if the inner ring of the bearing remains on the hub, then press it with a special puller;

• remove retaining ring 1 (pic. 7.14);
• press out the outer race of the bearing.

Install the front wheel hub bearing in the following order:

• press the bearing into the steering knuckle with a mandrel resting against the outer ring of the bearing;

• press fist 1 (pic. 7.15) with a bearing on the hub, while the mandrel must rest against the inner ring;
• install a new retaining ring 1 (see fig. 7.14).
