The air conditioning compressor is wedge driven from the engine pulley. When the air conditioning system is turned on, the compressor consumes only 40% of its power, which ensures stable engine operation at idle.
Tips for using a manual air conditioner
Turning on the air conditioner
Pic. 1.95. Air conditioning controls
Key 1 (pic. 1.95) is designed to turn on the air conditioner, while the indicator of its inclusion lights up.
Warnings!
- 1. The air conditioner only works when the interior air flow rate control is in the position «OFF» (turned off).
- 2. The operation of the air conditioner is accompanied by the release of water flowing under the car, which is not a malfunction.
Air temperature control
By changing the position of the regulator 2 (see fig. 1.95) the desired air temperature in the passenger compartment is set. When the control knob is moved to the right (red zone) the temperature increases, and when shifted to the left, it decreases.
Adjustment of distribution of air on salon
When setting switch 3 (see fig. 1.95) in this position, the air flow is directed to the windshield and side windows, which ensures the removal of condensate and frost. To quickly remove frost and condensation from the windshield and side windows, set the maximum temperature and air supply in the following order:
- set the regulator for the intake of outside air into the passenger compartment to the extreme left position - «outdoor air»;
- set the temperature and speed control of the incoming air to the maximum supply position;
- close the central and side ventilation grilles;
- turn on the air conditioner.
Direction of air flow to the windshield and side windows, as well as to the feet of passengers.
The direction of the air flow towards the feet of the passengers. Recommended for low ambient temperatures.
Direction of air flow to the central and side ventilation grilles. Recommended at elevated ambient temperatures.
Air flow control
Regulator 4 (see fig. 1.95) sets the fan operation mode and has positions «OFF», «1», «2», «3», «4», from off to maximum feed.
Regulator 5 (see fig. 1.95) air intake mode
The intake of outside air corresponds to the normal mode of ventilation.
The intake of outside air is stopped, the recirculation mode is on, which ensures a quick warm-up of the passenger compartment. This mode should be short-term, as it causes the windows to fog up.
Note. Air conditioning is more efficient with open ventilation grilles.
Tips for Using the Electronic Air Conditioner
Pic. 1.96. Auto Air Conditioning Controls
On parts of cars mod. 206 install electronically controlled air conditioners (pic. 1.96). This allows you to maintain comfortable conditions in the cabin, regardless of the outside temperature. At the same time, the distribution and amount of air entering the cabin does not depend on the speed of the car and is automatically regulated taking into account the temperature of the outside air and the air in the cabin. Malfunctions that occur are fixed by the automation unit and can be read out at the service station.
Temperature control
The temperature in the passenger compartment is set by pressing the upper or lower ledge of the switch key, its value is automatically displayed on the display. It is recommended to set the temperature in the range of 20-220 C.
Automatic comfort program
By pressing a button «AUTO» the system of automatic maintenance of the set air parameters in the cabin is activated. At the same time, the system regulates the temperature, flow, distribution of incoming air, as well as the very operation of the air conditioner.
Automatic glass transparency program
In case of intense fogging and icing of the windows, you can manually set the glass transparency mode by pressing the button. At will, you can change the adjustments of the modes established by the automatic system. In this case, the rest of the parameters will be adjusted automatically.
To return to fully automatic operation, press the button «AUTO».
Air conditioner switch
To turn off the air conditioner, press the button «A/C». The symbol will appear on the display «ECO». To return to fully automatic system operation, press the button again «A/C». The symbol will appear on the display «A/C».
Air distribution throughout the cabin
Successive pressing of this button allows you to direct air flows:
- to the windshield (heating and defrosting);
- windshield and passenger feet;
- passengers' feet;
- central and side ventilation grilles and to the feet of passengers;
- central and side ventilation grilles.
Outside air intake
Button press «+» leads to an increase in fan speed.
Button press «—» leads to a decrease in fan speed.
Air recirculation
Pressing this button turns on the air recirculation mode in the cabin. The indicated symbol lights up on the display. The recirculation mode allows you to isolate the interior from external unpleasant odors, dust and smoke.
Do not turn on the air recirculation mode in the cabin for a long time. To turn it off, press the button again - this will allow you to return to the automatic operation mode of the system with the inflow of outside air.
Complete system shutdown
Button «OFF» serves to turn off the entire air conditioning system.
Removing condensation from the rear window
By pressing the button, the electric heater of the rear window and exterior rear-view mirrors is turned on. The electric heater switches off automatically. It can also be turned off before automatic shutdown occurs by pressing this button again.
General recommendations for using the air conditioner
To ensure trouble-free operation of the air conditioner for a long period of operation, turn it on for at least 7-10 minutes at least once or twice a month.
Before turning on the air conditioner, the ventilation grilles must be opened.
If there are any comments on the operation of the air conditioner, immediately stop using it and contact the service station.
Carry out all work on maintenance and repair of the air conditioner at the service station with the involvement of highly qualified specialists and equipment for the maintenance of refrigeration units.
