The cylinder block is made of cast iron and has no removable liners. Cylinder diameter 85 mm. Five main bearing caps have selections C (pic. 4.27) to reduce the weight of the cylinder block. The thickness of the jumpers is 8 mm between the cylinders with coolant ducts A and trimming B of the jumpers to improve their cooling in the upper part of the block. The engine is equipped with a coolant drain hole located on the rear wall of the block and closed with a plug.
Note. The cylinders are counted from the flywheel side.
