Removal and installation of fuel injectors of the DW8 engine (Peugeot 206)

When removing and installing fuel injectors at Peugeot service centers, use the bushing for injectors 0149.

Remove the fuel injectors in the following order:

• disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery;

• remove protective cover 3 (pic. 4.91);
• remove the air cleaner unit 2 with pipes;
• remove the distributor of 1 air on an inlet;
• remove the valve tube of the exhaust gas recirculation system;
• remove fuel pipelines;
• remove the fuel return pipes;

• remove injector housings 1 (pic. 4.92) with a bushing (pic. 4.93);
• remove sealing washers 2 (see fig. 4.92).

Install the fuel injectors in the following order:

Note. Replace sealing washers 2 systematically.

• install sealing washers 2;
• install injectors 1, tightening to 90 Nm;
• install the fuel lines by tightening the fasteners on the high pressure fuel pump to 25 Nm and on the injectors to 25 Nm;
• install the tube of the valve of the exhaust gas recirculation system and tighten its attachment to the exhaust manifold to a torque of 15 Nm;
• install the upper air distribution unit 1 (see fig. 4.91);
• install the fastening of the upper air distribution unit to the lower one, tightening with a torque of 8 Nm;
• install the fastening of the upper air distribution unit to the head of the unit, tightening with a torque of 17.5 Nm;

Continue installation in the reverse order of removal.
