- bearing puller - 0317-JZ, 4508T-J;
- bearing installer - 0317-D, 7.101TD.
Dismantling the differential with an internal diameter of a sphere of 68 mm is carried out in the following order:
- disassemble the gearbox as described above;
Pic. 6.88. A distinctive element of the differential: A - ledge
- remove the primary, secondary shafts and differential from the clutch housing. Differential (68 mm) has protrusions A (pic. 6.88);
Pic. 6.89. Differential details (68 mm): 1 - retaining ring; 2 - axis of the satellites; 3 - satellites; 4 - side gears; 5 - insert; 6 - differential box
- remove retaining ring 1 (pic. 6.89) axes of satellites;
- remove the axle 2 satellites;
- remove satellites 3 by turning them;
- remove the side gears;
- take out insert 5;
Pic. 6.91. Removing the speedometer drive gear: 1 - speedometer drive gear
- remove gear 1 (see fig. 6.91) speedometer drive;
- Using a tool, remove the tapered bearings.
Dismantling the differential with an internal diameter of a sphere of 77 mm is carried out in the following order:
- disassemble the gearbox as described above;
- remove the primary, secondary shafts and differential from the clutch housing. Differential (77 mm) has no protrusions A (see fig. 6.88);
Pic. 6.90. Differential details (77 mm): 1 - centering sleeve; 2 - satellites; 3 - satellite cups; 4 - side gears; 5 - differential box; 6 - axis of the satellites; 7 - retaining ring
- remove retaining ring 7 (pic. 6.90);
- remove the axle 6 satellites;
- remove satellites 2 by turning them;
- remove side gears 4;
- remove cups 3 satellites;
- remove the centering sleeve 1;
- remove gear 1 (see fig. 6.91) speedometer drive;
- Using a tool, remove the tapered bearings.
Assemble both differentials in the reverse order of disassembly. Removed bearings must be replaced with new ones during reassembly.
