Special fixtures:
1 - device for blocking the steering rack from scrolling 0721.B;
2 - tubular wrench 0721.A;
3 - tie rod ball joint puller 1892-T;
4 - pliers for clamps «Clic» 0172.Z.
Removing
Secure and raise the vehicle on a two-post lifting platform.
Remove:
- front wheels;
- tie rod ball nut.
Disconnect the tie rod ball joint using tool 3 and remove.
Disconnect the handset (1) from the corrugated cover of the steering rack (2).
Mark the position of the steering rack bellows on the steering gear.
Disconnect the clamp (3) using universal pliers.
Remove clamp (4) using a thin screwdriver.
Remove the ribbed protective cover of the steering rack (2).
Turn the steering wheel all the way to the right and back out ¼ turn.
Install tool 1 on the steering rack so that its ball bearings rest against the subframe.

Tighten the four screws in the area «A». Support two supports «b» in a stretcher.
Remove the tie rod using tool 2.
Installation
Install the tie rod using tool 2.
Remove tool 1.
Lubricate «Total» №3924/ N3945:
- bearing surface of the ribbed protective cover of the steering rack in the area «With»;
- steering rack teeth.
Note. Do not lubricate in the area «d».
Install new ribbed steering rack guard (2).
Check the position of the protective cover of the steering rack in the area «e» And «f».
Install a new clamp (4) with tool 4.
Connect the handset (1) to the corrugated cover of the steering rack (2).
Install clamp (3) and tie rod ball joint.
Install wheels.
Vehicles with Dynamic Stability Control (ESP)
Calibrate the Steering Angle Sensor with a scan tool «Lexia» or «Proxia».
