Location of CAN CONFORT control unit
The CAN CONFORT network is the interface between the driver and vehicle systems.
Data transfer rate 125 Kbps (Low Speed).
Continuous transmission of information throughout the CAN CONFORT network.
The CAN CONFORT network is a network in which each computer constantly transmits various information to all networks in general.
Network communication management and power supply establishment «+ CAN» carried out by the switching unit (BSI 1).
Computers of the CAN CONFORT network have their own terminating resistor and are connected to the power supply, as appropriate, or «+ CAN», or «+BAT» or «+ARS», that come from BSM.
Note. Opening of one of the two wires or short circuit between the wires «CAN CONFORT High» or «CAN CONFORT Low» communicates over the network, with the submission of information about the error.
Note. A thick line indicates an optical connection, a triple line indicates a multiplex network.
*Depending on the model: car radio RD4 or telematics unit RT3.
CAN CONFORT network voltage level (oscilloscope readings)
- «M»: CAN CONFORT high.
- «N»: CAN CONFORT low.
Voltage: 2 V.
Time: 1 m/s.
Test conditions:
- the engine is not running;
- ignition is on.
Results: bursts of variable pulses display information transmitted over high (High) CAN CONFORT network lines.
Note. The CAN CONFORT Low signal complements the CAN CONFORT High signal.
CAN CONFORT Low signal voltage levels:
- low level - 1 V
- high level - 4.8 V
CAN CONFORT High signal voltage levels:
- low level - 0 V
- high level - 3.8 V
