Removing
Attention. Since oil is drained from a hot engine, take precautions for heat sources nearby.
When changing the filter, also make sure that oil does not get on the catalytic converter.
Unscrew the cover (1).
Note. Latches (2) are designed to hold the cover on a 27 mm diameter sleeve so that, without burning your hands, move the cover on the catalytic converter.
Slide and remove the cover.
Detach the filter from the cover by pulling the replaceable filter element (4) in the direction indicated by the arrows (A).
Remove gasket (3).
Attention. Be careful not to damage the seal lip.

Installation
Install the new seal in place (3) and a new filter element (4).
Install the cover assembly with the filter element, tighten with a torque of 28 Nm.
