General information about the Bosch MEV 17.4 injection system (Peugeot 207)

Peugeot 207 gasoline engines use a direct fuel injection and ignition system «Bosch MEV 17.4». This system controls the fuel injection and ignition process based on information about the intake air pressure and engine speed. The electronic injection computer has a writable memory type «Flash-Eprom». This type of memory allows, in the event of a calibration change, to change the contents of the computer memory without dismantling or replacing the computer itself. Instead of replacing a block or memory «Eprom» the operation is «teleloading» computer software into its memory using the appropriate diagnostic tool for service using the diagnostic connector.
