Note. Removal is carried out through the bottom of the car.
Note. After turning off the ignition, wait 15 minutes before disconnecting the battery (to ensure results are remembered «learning» various computers).
Disconnect the battery.
Special fixtures:
1 - jack with platform 0004;
2 - set of plugs 0194T;
3 - forks for removing the drive rods of the gearbox 0216-G1 / 0216-G2;
4 - engine support bracket 0005-E;
5 - specific support 0005-H1;
6 - a set of supports holding the power plant 0005-G;
7 - a set of supports holding the power plant 0005-C;
8 - clamp for removing and installing elastic clamps 0165.
Remove:
- decorative engine cover;
- protective screen under the engine;
- front wheels;
- front bumper (see corresponding operation);
- lights (see corresponding operation).
Loosen the two fixing screws (1) cooling radiator (2).
Slightly lift and move the radiator forward.
Remove the implement drive belt (see corresponding operation).
Remove the subframe and drive shafts (see corresponding operation).
Drain the coolant from the engine cooling system (see corresponding operation).
Remove the battery and tray.
Disconnect the coolant outlet block hoses (in the zone «A») (using tool [8]).
Disconnect connectors (5) And (3). Remove engine ECU (4).
Move the wiring harness.
Turn away bolts (6) And (7).
Move the wiring harness.
Remove the cover (8) high voltage fuse box and power wiring harness (9) .
Disconnect the power harness connector (in the zone «b»).
Disconnect connectors (10).
Loosen the fixing bolt (11).
Without disconnecting the pipes, unscrew and secure the air conditioner compressor (12).
Turn away bolts (14).
Remove and move the clutch slave cylinder (13).
Remove the vacuum tube from the vacuum pump.
Disconnect and move the gearshift linkages of the transmission (15) (using tool [3]).
Disconnect the reverse limit switch.
Position the lift [1] with supports [6] and [7] under the power unit.
Attach the intermediate support [4] to the cylinder block.
A (car with air conditioning): Attach the spacer [5] to the air conditioner compressor support.
B (car without air conditioning): Attach the intermediate support [5] to the cylinder block.
Tighten the support mounting kit. Raise the power unit slightly using the lift table [1].
Mark the position of the lift table on the floor.
Attention. Before disconnecting, clean all low pressure tubing connections (if necessary).
Disconnect the supply and fuel return circuit (in the zone «With»).
Plug the connecting elements of the fuel supply and return pipes (using tool [2]). Disconnect the air bubble bleed tube from the expansion tank (in the zone «d»).
Loosen the fixing screws (16) And (17) and remove the upper right engine mount (18).
Loosen the fixing bolt (19).
Remove the power plant through the bottom of the vehicle.
