Conditions for cleaning and reassembling the internal combustion engine (Peugeot 207)

During work, do not use abrasives or scratching tools on the surfaces to be joined. Clean threaded holes with taps. Install clean, defect-free parts when assembling (cracks, burrs, impact marks). Lubricate parts as they are installed (if necessary). The following are the components that must be replaced after each removal:

• gaskets;
• cotter pins;
• retaining rings and washers;
• single use bolts and nuts.

Observe the pairing of the parts of the following components:

• connecting rod caps with connecting rods;
• crankshaft bearing covers with cylinder block;
• assembly connecting rod/piston with cylinder liners;
• hydraulic pushers with cylinder heads;
• cylinder head valves.
