Solenoid valve built into the gearbox (from the side of the heat exchanger).
The solenoid valve allows:
- modulate the flow rate of the working fluid passing through the heat exchanger;
- optimize the gearbox heating time;
- contribute to the cooling of the working fluid, if necessary.
When the solenoid valve is closed, the flow of liquid passing through the heat exchanger is minimal.
The passage of the working fluid is provided by the grooves in the gearbox housing.
When the solenoid valve is open, the fluid flow is at its maximum.
The solenoid valve opens when the following two conditions are met;
- the temperature of the working fluid exceeds some predetermined value.
- motor shaft speed exceeds some predetermined value (which depends on the transmission).
Note. The solenoid valve closes if at least one of the two conditions is no longer met.
Solenoid valve - two-position (open-closed), supply voltage 12 V; the valve is activated by closing on «mass» (ECU).
