Attention. Clean pressure gauge hose 1 before each use: different brands of automatic transmission oils must not be mixed with each other.
Screw the connecting fitting 2 into place of the bolt (1).
Install the manometer hose 1 on the fitting 2.
Perform the following operations:
- place the car on a lift, hanging the front wheels;
- turn on the parking brake;
- start the engine.
Oil pressure check
Attention. Wait for the oil temperature in the automatic transmission to rise to 58-68°C. Check the oil level in the gearbox (see corresponding operation).
Note. Check the oil temperature with a scan tool by measuring parameters.
Torque converter test
Attention. This check should be done quickly (two seconds), as it causes a rapid increase in the temperature of the oil in the automatic transmission.
Observe the following test conditions:
- the engine must be at operating temperature;
- gear lever is in position «D»;
- press the brake pedal;
- increase the engine speed until the maximum frequency value is obtained.
At a speed of 2660±50 rpm, the measured pressure should be in the range of 13.7-14.6 bar.
If the value obtained is lower than the specified value, the reason for this is a faulty torque converter.
If the value obtained is higher than the specified value, the automatic transmission is faulty (slippage).
