Removing
Note. The gearbox is removed through the bottom of the car.
Special fixtures:
1 - pliers for hose clamps of the cooling system 0165 Z;
2 - pin for connection 0338-A;
3 - fixture for holding torque converter 0336-Y;
4 - sets of 2 hose clamps 1512;
5 - crankshaft locking pin 0197-B.
Attention. The automatic transmission is sealed, so it does not make sense to drain the oil from it for this operation.
Place the car on a lift.
Remove the battery protective cover (1).
Disconnect the battery.
Remove:
- battery;
- air filter unit (2);
- air supply tube (3).
Remove:
- front wheels;
- front mudguard;
- protective shield under the engine;
- ECU automatic transmission;
- drive shaft (see corresponding operation);
- front subframe (see corresponding operation).
Unplug connectors (in the zone «A»).
Remove the engine control unit (4).
Loosen and slide the high rated fuse box (5).
Turn away bolts (7) and remove the battery bracket (6).
Disconnect connector (in the zone «b»).
Disconnect the electrical harnesses adjacent to the automatic transmission.
Disconnect «mass» cable from the gearbox housing.
Set aside the wiring harness along with the harness guide (8).
Use the tool [4] to grab the hoses (9), (10) (in the zone «With»).
Using the tool [1], remove the hose clamps (9) And (10). Disconnect the hoses (9), (10).
Remove bolts (11).
Move aside the cooling line (12).
Disconnect the gearshift joint (13) from gear lever (17), by pressing the latch «d».
Remove shift cable (14) from the stop of the shell (16), by pulling the latch (15) (as shown by the arrow).
Disconnect the starter wiring harness.
Turn away bolts (18) and remove the starter (19).
Attention. It is forbidden to turn the crankshaft by the fastening screw (20) counterclock-wise (risk of loosening the camshaft pulleys, crankshaft and oil pump).
Turn the crankshaft clockwise (tightening) per screw (20) before being placed in the lock position.
Block the crankshaft using tool [5] (the locking hole is located on the crankshaft bearing cap).
Using the tool [5], remove the torque converter nut (in the zone «e»).
Repeat the operation for the two remaining nuts.
Loosen the bottom mounting bolts (21) gearboxes.
Support the engine with an elastic pad.
Hang the gearbox by the transport eyelets (in the zone «f») and raise the engine.
Turn away bolts (22).
Loosen the top screws (23) gearboxes to the engine.
Separate the gearbox from the engine and fit the tool [3].
Remove the automatic transmission through the bottom of the vehicle.
Installation
Lubricate the centering sleeve (25).
Rings (24) must be located in the gearbox and on the engine block.
Check the condition of the engine start gear (26).
The torque converter must remain assembled with the gearbox (use tools to hold it 3).
Hold tool [3] in place.
Install tool [2] without tightening.
Attention. Turn the crankshaft clockwise until one of the holes in the gear matches (26) with lock hole in engine block (in the zone «e»).
Block the gearbox by inserting the pin [2] into the hole in the gear (26).
Remove tool 3.
Install:
- bolts (21), (23), tighten to 60 Nm;
- bolts (22), tighten to 65 Nm.
Remove tool 2.
Install the three torque converter mounting nuts on the flange (new).
Nut tightening order (torque converter):
- pre-tightening torque 10 Nm.
- tightening torque 30 Nm.
Install:
- starter (19):
Tighten the bolts (18) torque 20 Nm.
Connect the wiring harness (starter).
Install shift cable (14) on the shell stop (16), by pressing the latch (15) (as shown by the arrow). Connect Shift Control Pivot (13) with shift lever (17) Pressing «d».
Reinstall the pipeline (12) cooling systems.
Install bolts (11). Attach hoses (9), (10).
Using the tool [1], install the hose clamps (9), (10).
Remove tool 4. Reinstall wire harnesses and harness guide (8).
Join «mass» transmission case cable.
Attach the wiring harnesses adjacent to the automatic transmission.
Replace the complex connector (in the zone «b»).
Install the battery support (6) and bolts (7).
Attach a high rated fuse box (5) on the battery base (6).
Reinstall the engine control unit (4).
Connect connectors (in the zone «A»).
Install:
- front subframe;
- drive shaft;
- ECU automatic transmission;
- protective shield under the engine;
- front mudguards;
- front wheels;
- air supply tube (3);
- air filter unit (2);
- rechargeable battery.
Install the battery protective cover (1).
Perform the automatic transmission control unit initialization procedure (loading).
Check the transmission fluid level.
Remove the air and restore the fluid level in the cooling system.
