Seat belts — description and maintenance (Peugeot 305)

1. All models are fitted with retractable front seat belts.

2. In the rear seats, depending on the model, both inertial and conventional seat belts can be used.

3. Seat belts can be installed on the rear seats of early models. There are threaded holes on the floor under the seat cushion and behind the trim of the rear compartment, which can be used for attaching belts.

4. Periodically inspect belts for wear and damage. Defective belts must be replaced.

5. A dirty belt can be wiped with a damp cloth soaked in soapy water.

6. Check the degree of tightening of the anchor bolts. If for some reason they were removed, during their installation it is necessary to check that the washers, bushings and anchor plate were installed on the bolts in the original sequence.

7. Do not attempt to modify the belt or change where it attaches to the body.
