1. Suspension and steering parts should be inspected periodically.
2. Inspect the suspension pivots and their fasteners, including rubber bushings, for excessive play, wear, and defects.
3. Inspect steering parts for excessive wear and secure fastening.
4. Inspect the shock absorber mounts and their rubber bushings for wear and defects. Check for signs of hydraulic fluid leakage. If at least one of the shock absorbers is leaking, both shock absorbers on the same axle should be replaced.
5. Check the tightness of the steering gear mounting bolts, see if the tightening torque is exceeded. Inspect the rubber boots of the mechanism for cracks and leaks. Inspect the lower steering shaft coupling for wear and tear.
6. Manufacturer requires suspension and steering parts to be inspected every 45,000 km, however we recommend doing this more often (e.g. every 15,000 km, and in the case of older machines even more often).
