1. Starting in 1981, some models are equipped with an electromagnetic central locking system that sets the locks on all doors to the same position as the driver's door lock. The central locking does not exclude the possibility of manually opening the doors.
2. The lock solenoids and their wiring can be accessed after removing the inner door trim.
3. With further improvement of the central locking system, the driver can open and close all doors remotely, from a key fob, which is a transmitter that gives a coded signal received by a receiving device standing on the car.
