1. All production models since the end of 1986 are equipped with a muted (daytime) dipped beam headlights, the task of which is to prevent driving during daylight hours with the inclusion of only side lights (for countries where the inclusion of low beam headlights is mandatory at any time of the day).
2. When the ignition and parking lights are turned on, a special relay is activated, which closes the internal contacts and sends current through the resistance to the dipped beam circuit. The dipped beam filaments in the headlight bulbs produce light with an intensity of 1/6 of the intensity of normal low beam headlights. The relay coil is grounded through the high beam filaments so that the relay turns off when the high beam is on.
