1. Some Estate models have a headlight range control that allows you to change the direction of the light beam from the driver's seat. The regulator is powered by hydraulic pressure, and if the regulator control unit or the headlight actuators fail, the entire system assembly must be replaced.
2. Actuators can be removed. To do this, unscrew the mounting bolts of their brackets and remove the mounting clips (see photo). To remove the control unit, remove the fasteners of the right bottom panel "torpedoes", remove the regulator knob and unscrew the 2 fixing screws. Squeeze out the rubber bushings in the bulkhead of the engine compartment and pull the hydraulic lines through the bulkhead.
3. After installing the regulator in place, have the headlights adjusted by a specialist in case of no load (the regulator is set to the position corresponding to the maximum permitted height of the light beam).
