Every 400 km, weekly or before a long trip
Engine
Check the oil level with the machine on level ground. Add oil as needed to the top mark on the dipstick (see pictures).
Cooling system
Check the coolant level in the radiator. The level should not be lower than 5 cm from the filler hole.
If the fluid level is too low, inspect the system for leaks (see pictures).
Brake system
Check the brake fluid level in the reservoir. If necessary, add fluid and inspect the brake pipes and hoses for leaks (see photo).
Check the efficiency of the brakes, including the handbrake.
Steering and suspension
Check tire pressure (including spare) and adjust it if necessary.
Inspect tires for wear and damage.
Check steering operation.
Electrical equipment
Check the electrolyte level in the battery and top up with distilled water if necessary (see photo).
Check the operation of all lights, wiper, horn, instruments and indicators.
Check the fluid level in the washer reservoir and, if necessary, top up with water, adding a special glass cleaner (see photo).
Every 7500 km or every 6 months
(In addition to the operations included in the weekly maintenance)
Engine
Drain the oil when the engine is hot. When carrying out maintenance after the first 7500 km of the machine, the oil filter should be replaced. Pour fresh oil into the engine.
Inspect, clean and adjust breaker contacts.
Wipe the distributor cover, coil and high voltage wires clean.
Inspect the engine for oil, coolant and fuel leaks. Inspect the exhaust system for damage and loose fittings. Steering, suspension and drive shafts Inspect all rubber boots for leaks, damage and wear.
Every 15,000 km or once a year
(In addition to the operations included in the semi-annual maintenance)
Engine
Change oil and oil filter (see photo).
Replace spark plugs and breaker contacts.
Lubricate the distributor.
Check and adjust ignition timing.
Check and adjust the carburetor at idle. Check and adjust valve clearances.
Check and adjust fan belt and alternator belt tension.
Replace air filter (if the machine has been operated in dusty conditions).
Clean fuel pump and fuel filter.
Check tightness of all bolts and nuts (make sure that the specified tightening torque is not exceeded).
Electrical equipment
Clean the battery, its pad and battery terminals.
Cooling system
Inspect the radiator, heater, and carburetor hoses for damage and for tightness of their clamps.
Brake system
Inspect disc brake pads and drum brake linings for wear.
Check brake pedal clearance.
Suspension and steering
Inspect all hinges for excessive play and rubber bushings for wear. Inspect shock absorber struts for leaks and secure fasteners. Inspect the steering rack for secure fastenings.
Check the condition of the elastic connection of the steering column.
Clutch
Check and adjust clutch cable.
Outdoor lights
Check and adjust the headlight setting.
Body
Lubricate all locks and hinges, including hood and trunk locks.
Inspect seat belts for wear and tightness.
Every 30,000 km or every 2 years
(In addition to the operations included in the annual maintenance)
Engine
Drain the coolant and flush the cooling system. Pour fresh coolant into the system.
Replace air filter.
Brake system
Clean the rear brakes of dust (be careful not to inhale the dust).
Hubs
Check front and rear wheel bearings, clean and lubricate them (see chapter 7).
Every 45,000 km or every 2 years
(In addition to the above operations included in the annual or biennial maintenance)
