Intake manifold
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
2. Remove the air cleaner (see section 3) and disconnect the air duct from the intake manifold (see photo).
3. Remove the brake booster vacuum pump from the intake manifold (see chapter 8). Disconnect the pump outlet hose from the manifold (see photo).
4. Remove the bolts with a hex wrench and remove the intake manifold from the cylinder head (see pictures). The manifold does not have a gasket.
5. Install the intake manifold in reverse order. Tighten its fixing bolts evenly.
An exhaust manifold
6. Engage the handbrake and jack up and support the front of the machine.
7. Loosen and remove the bolts securing the exhaust manifold to the downpipe of the exhaust system, together with their springs and rings. Tie downpipe off to the side so it doesn't get in the way.
8. To turn out nuts and to remove a final collector from hairpins on a head of cylinders. Remove gaskets (see pictures).
9. Where applicable, remove the bolts securing the resonator to the manifold and remove it with the gasket.
10. The exhaust manifold is installed in the reverse order. Clean all contact surfaces and install new gaskets. Tighten manifold mounting nuts evenly (see photo).
