Engine and Transmission — Installation (Peugeot 305)

1. The engine with gearbox is installed in the reverse order to that given in section 19. Pay attention to the following additional points:

• A. When installing the right drive shaft, use the final drive oil seal protector.
• 6. Add oil to the engine and gearbox.
• V. Adjust throttle and fast idle cables (see chapter 3).
• d. On the 1.7L engine, tighten the bolts securing the exhaust manifold to the exhaust system downpipe.
• e. Install engine/gearbox mountings (see section 17).
• e. Adjust the clutch cable.
• and. Pour liquid into the cooling system (see chapter 2).
• h. If necessary, check the synchronization of the injection pump.
