1. After complete disassembly of the engine, clean all its parts and carefully inspect them, as indicated in the relevant sections.
2. Use rags, a soft brush and kerosene or other solvents to clean the parts. Do not immerse parts with internal channels in solvent. Lubrication and water channels should be cleaned with a wire and then blown out with compressed air.
3. If the engine is in poor condition, you should compare the cost of its bulkhead with the cost of a rebuilt engine. In some cases, it may be more economical to purchase a remanufactured engine.
