Pull out the plastic plug (4) and a low-voltage wire from the slot on the distributor housing and use a small screwdriver to open the latch located nearby (5). Loosen the fixing screw (6) and pull out the fixed contact. Carefully remove the spring clip (7) and remove the moving contact.

5. All models. Treat the contact surfaces with sandpaper or a special file so as to remove all pits and irregularities. With frequent processing of contact surfaces, the tungsten layer will be erased to the ground, after which the contacts will have to be replaced.
6. Installation of the breaker contacts is carried out in the reverse order. Pay attention to the following points:
- A. Before installation, even new contacts must be wiped with methyl alcohol.
- b. Apply a little Vaseline to the rotary axis of the moving contact contours of the cam.
- V. When installing an adjustable contact (1) on the Paris-Rhone distributor (see b/fig. 4.4) make sure it is centered on its holder (2).
- d. Be sure to install all washers in their original order. If necessary, you can mark the position of the washers during disassembly to avoid errors.
- e. Adjust the gap between the contacts of the breaker (see section 2) and check the angle of the closed state of the contacts (see section 3).
