2. Unscrew the clamping bolt of the distributor and remove the distributor and its clamp.
3. Unscrew and remove the 17 bolts securing the timing cover to the engine, and remove the cover. If it does not go, you can gently tap on it with a soft-faced hammer.
4. Be aware that if the crankshaft is turned after the chain has been removed, there is a risk that the pistons will hit the valves. Similarly, the camshaft must not be rotated with the chain removed and any of the pistons in the TDC position. Therefore, we recommend a specific procedure for removing the timing mechanism. However, if only the timing chain needs to be replaced, there is no need to remove the sprockets.
5. Unscrew and remove the bolt at the end of the crankshaft. If necessary, block the crankshaft from rotation by inserting a bar with a diameter of 8 mm into the hole immediately above the crankshaft and inserting this bar into the slot made in the counterweight cheek (at the same time, pistons NN 2 and 3 should stand in the TDC.). After removing the bolt, pull out the bar.
6. Bend back the petals that secure the 3 camshaft sprocket bolts. Loosen the bolts, but do not remove them yet.
7. Unlock the timing chain tensioner and remove the tension from the chain (see fig. 10). Remove the 2 tensioner mounting bolts and remove the bolts and tensioner. Remove the bolt at the bottom of the tensioner plate and remove the plate from the block. Remove the fine filter from the tensioner mounting hole in the cylinder block.
8. Remove the chain from the crankshaft and camshaft sprockets.
9. Remove the sprocket, worm wheel and spacer rings from the crankshaft, noting the order in which they stood and which side they were installed.
10. To turn out bolts of an asterisk of a camshaft and to remove a lock plate and an asterisk. When reassembling, the stop plate must be replaced with a new one.
