120. Rotate the 1/2 and 3/4 gear shaft so that the slots of the retainers are free from the balls. Pull the stem out of the forks.
121. Where applicable, remove the 5th gear stem from the 1/2 gear fork.
112. Inspect forks and stems for wear and damage and replace if necessary.
123. Start assembly by inserting the 5th gear rod into the 1/2 gear fork.
124. Bring the fork 3/4 gears to the fork 1/2 gears so that their holes and shifting fingers are aligned.
125. Insert the 1/2 and 3/4 gear rod into the forks, positioning the blocking hole, as shown in B / fig. 12.61. Align the slots of all shift pins in a line so that the shift mechanism can be moved to the neutral position (see photo).
126. Keep in mind that changes have been made to the gearshift mechanism on the latest models. Movement parts on early and late models are not interchangeable.
