58. Screw 2 long M8x125 bolts into its open surface and use the handles when removing the transformer. Be prepared for the fact that this will spill a lot of transmission fluid.
59. Lubricate the oil seal housing with clean transmission fluid and pull out the oil seal of a suitable hook.
60. Lubricate the new oil seal with clean transmission fluid and install it with the sponges inside. Drive the stuffing box inward with a suitable tube so that the outer surface is flush with the surface of the stuffing box housing.
61. Reinstall the torque converter, taking care not to damage the oil seal. Slightly rotate the torque converter back and forth so that its mounting tabs fit into the oil pump. Remove the 2 long bolts used to remove the torque converter.
62. Install the gearbox.
