Replacing upholstery panels (Peugeot 307)

Interior upholstery elements are fastened with screws or various types of staples.

Before removing interior upholstery, make sure that it is not held by another upholstery superimposed on it.

First of all, unscrew the visible screws securing the interior upholstery element. If after that it is not removed, then it is held by hidden brackets or latches. They are usually located around the perimeter of the upholstery element and are detached using a wide flat-bladed screwdriver.

To install, align the latch with the hole and, by pressing on the interior upholstery panel, firmly fix it in the hole.

To remove the A-pillar upholstery panel:

• remove the door opening seal next to the A-pillar upholstery panel;
• release the front pillar upholstery panel from the inside from top to bottom;

• slide upholstery panel up and remove it (pic. 10.98).

To remove the front door sill trim panel:

• lift, then gradually slide the door sill trim panel 1 (pic. 10.99), to release the clips A located under the panel;
• tilt the front part of the upholstery panel into the vehicle interior and remove it.

To remove the rear door sill trim panel:

• recline the rear seat cushion;
• turn out a bolt of the lower fastening of a seat belt;
• recline the back of the rear seat;
• turn out the screw of the top fastening of an upholstery of a threshold of a back door;

• lift, then release upholstery panel 1 at the front (pic. 10.100) threshold;
• release the middle part of the door sill upholstery panel;
• slightly raise the backrest, then move the door sill upholstery panel;
• remove the rear door sill trim panel.

To remove the bottom B-pillar trim:

• remove the front door sill trim panel;
• move the front seat forward as far as it will go;

• release from the clips the front part of the upholstery panel threshold rear door A (pic. 10.101);
• release from clamps the bottom panel of an upholstery of an average rack With;
• pulling down, remove the bottom panel of the upholstery of the middle pillar;

To remove the B-pillar top trim:

• remove the lower panel of an upholstery of an average rack;

• unscrew the bolt securing the seat belt bracket 1 (pic. 10.102);
• turn out the screw of the bottom fastening of the top upholstery of an average rack 4;
• release the upper upholstery of the middle pillar 3 from the clamps at points A and B;
• guide the seat belt clip 2 through the top panel of the B-pillar upholstery 3;
• remove the upper upholstery of the middle pillar 3.

To remove the bottom panel of the upholstery of the rear side of the body:

• remove the rear shelf;

• release the three latches 1 (pic. 10.103) fastenings of the bottom panel of an upholstery of a back lateral part of a body;
• remove the seal 2 openings of the tailgate;
• slide the lower upholstery panel 4 of the rear side of the body;
• Disconnect the electrical connector of the lampshade 3 luggage compartment lighting (only on the lower trim panel on the left side of the body);
• disconnect the electrical connector of the socket for connecting additional electrical equipment (only on the lower trim panel on the left side of the body);
• remove the bottom panel of an upholstery of a back lateral part of a body.

To remove the top side trim panel:

• remove the rear shelf;
• remove the bottom panel of an upholstery of a back lateral part of a body;

• slide seal 2 (pic. 10.104);
• release from the clamps the upper panel of the upholstery 1 of the side of the body at points A and C;
• Remove the top side trim panel by pulling it in direction B.

Install all panels in the reverse order of removal. After installation, check the operation of electrical equipment, the elements of construction and control of which are installed in the corresponding upholstery panels.
