- remove the steering knuckle;
- secure the steering knuckle in a vice;

- remove protective plate 1 (pic. 6.20);

- install the FACOM NK41 L 1 bushing on the steering knuckle joint (pic. 6.18) and use a socket wrench to unscrew the ball joint from the steering knuckle.
To install the steering knuckle ball joint:
- screw by hand a new ball joint of the steering knuckle;
- install the FACOM NK41 L 1 bushing on the steering knuckle joint (see fig. 6.18) and use a socket wrench to tighten the ball joint to 230 Nm;

- lock the ball joint nut by bending the collar of the nut into the recess in the steering knuckle (pic. 6.19);
- install a new protective plate 1 (see fig. 6.20) on the body of the ball joint;
- fix the protective plate by bending it on one of the faces of the ball joint;
- reinstall the steering knuckle.
