Checking the mudguards of the front suspension joints (Peugeot 307)

Raise the front of the car and secure it on stands with the wheels hanging in the air.

Illuminate the dust covers of the lower front suspension joints and tie rod ends with a portable lamp and check their condition.

Any damage to these boots will result in lubricant leakage and water and dirt ingress, resulting in rapid wear of the ball joints or steering gear. For safety reasons, have the corresponding defective joint with dirt cover replaced at a service station.
