Removing
Switch off ignition and disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the storage battery.
Remove the decorative engine cover.
Disconnect the connectors from the injectors, diesel fuel temperature and pressure sensors, fuel volumetric flow and pressure solenoid valves, and camshaft position sensor. Move the wiring harness to the side.
Remove the pump support to fill the system with fuel.
Remove the engine cover support.
Remove the diesel fuel temperature sensor.
Disconnect and take away a hose of system of ventilation of crankcase gases.
Use SODIMAC 35 to clean the union nuts of the high pressure fuel pipes and the area around the nuts.
Pic. 4.68. Fuel distributor (Common Rail): 1, 2 - connecting nuts, 28 Nm; 3 - bolts, 23 Nm; 4, 7 - connecting nuts, 25 Nm; 5 - fuel distributor; 6 - high pressure tube; And - a hexagon on the union of an exit of fuel under a high pressure; B - hexagon on the nozzle
Holding the hexagon A with a wrench (pic. 4.68) on the high pressure fuel pump, unscrew the connecting nut 7 fastening the high pressure fuel pipe 6 with the second wrench.
Turn away a connecting nut 1 fastenings of a fuel pipe 6 of a high pressure to the fuel distributor and remove a fuel pipe.
Holding the hexagons B on the injectors with a wrench, unscrew the connecting nuts 4 fastening the high-pressure fuel pipes to the injectors with the second wrench.
Turn away connecting nuts 2 fastenings of fuel pipes of a high pressure to the fuel distributor and remove fuel pipes. To prevent dirt from entering, close the fuel pipes and fittings on the fuel distributor with suitable plugs.
Disconnect the high pressure sensor connector.
Turn out bolts 3 and remove the fuel distributor (Common Rail).
Attention! Do not unscrew the high pressure sensor from the fuel distributor (Common Rail).
Installation
Install fuel distributor 5 (see fig. 4.68) and secure with bolts 3, finger-tight at this stage.
Attention! New high pressure fuel lines must be used when installing the fuel distributor.
Install the high pressure fuel pipes on the injectors and the fuel distributor and secure them with union nuts 2 and 4, hand-tight at this stage.
Install the high pressure pipe 6 and secure it with union nuts 1 and 7, hand-tight at this stage.
Tighten the union nuts 1 and 2 fastening the high-pressure pipes to the fuel distributor to 28 Nm.
Tighten the bolts 3 fastening the fuel distributor to 23 Nm.
Tighten the connecting nuts 4 and 7 fastening the high-pressure pipes to the fuel pump and injectors to a torque of 25 Nm.
Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Do computer programming.
Check the tightness of the connections.
Start the engine.
Check for fuel leaks.
