- remove the gearbox;

- install handles 0338-B 1 (pic. 5.62) for removal and installation of torque converter 2;
- pulling the handles 0338-B, remove the torque converter;
Attention! There is a significant amount of oil in the torque converter.
- use a hook 0338-G or a wire with a bent end to remove the sealing ring of the torque converter.
To install the torque converter O-ring:
- clean the installation site of the sealing rings;
- lubricate the working edges of the new sealing ring with oil before installing it in place;
- using drift 0338-F, install torque converter sealing ring;
- visually check:
- centering element of the torque converter on the side of the crankshaft and torque converter;
- the bearing surface of the sealing ring on the torque converter;
- three torque converter mounting points;
- oil pump drive flats;
- turbine and torque converter shaft splines;
Attention! Before installing a new torque converter related to a new pair of parts, partially fill it with oil.
- lubricate the inner bearing surface of the sealing ring on the torque converter with oil;
- by handles 0338-B 1 slowly install the torque converter, turning it slightly in different directions to facilitate the entry of the splines into the grooves;

- check the correct installation of the torque converter using pin 3 (see fig. 5.56), holding the torque converter;
- install the gearbox;
- bring the oil level in the gearbox to normal;
- initialize the oil aging counter.
