Front door glass
Using the Glass Bracket Release Tool on Pre-1992 Models

Removing
1. Remove door trim.
2. Lower the glass to 2/3 of the height.
3. Peel off the plastic film on the door frame.
4. Remove lower glass seals.
5. Partially remove the glass seals from the rear and upper window frames.
6. If equipped, disconnect the electrical connector from the power window motor and move the wiring harness to the side.
7. Temporarily glue the glass on the outside with adhesive tape so that during the extraction process it does not fall inside the door.
8. Release the bracket securing the window glass to the power window mechanism.
9. On models prior to 1992, a special Peugeot tool must be used to release the glass bracket (-) 7.1309. The tool can be made by drilling a hole of suitable diameter in a small plate.
10. Slide the tool over the back of the bracket to compress the tabs and at the same time push the window glass inside the door frame to release it from the bracket (see fig. Using the Glass Bracket Release Tool on Pre-1992 Models).
11. On models since 1993, the bracket is installed behind the glass. The clip can be released by turning it a quarter of a turn.
12. Peel off the tape while holding the glass with your hand.
13. Remove the glass by pulling it up and out of the door.
Installation
1. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following points.
2. On models prior to 1992, check that the bracket that secures the glass to the power window has been securely fastened.
3. Moisten the seals with soapy water to facilitate the installation of the seals.
4. If the plastic seal film was damaged during removal, install a new film.
5. Install door trim.
Front door power window

Glass up and down mechanism

Removing
1. Remove front door glass.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the power window motor.
3. Loosen three nuts (indicated by arrows), that secure the power window mechanism to the door.
4. Unscrew the two nuts securing the window guide to the door.
5. Tilt the power window and remove it through the bottom window of the inside of the door.
Installation
Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
Roll-down glass rear door window

Removal and installation
1. Follow the steps for removing the front door glass (see above) (taking into account the following points).
2. Fully lower the window glass.
3. Before removing the glass, remove the rear glass guide, which is screwed with two screws (see fig. Fastening of a back directing of the lowered glass of a back door).
Rear fixed rear door glass
Removing
1. Remove door trim.
2. Remove the protective film from the inside of the door.
3. Unscrew the two screws securing the rear window guide.
4. Remove the lower inner and outer seal of the rear door sliding window.
5. Remove the top and rear glass seal of the rear door.
6. Lower the rear window guide into the door.
7. Move forward and remove the rear fixed glass with seal from the door (A - glass guide, B - seal).
Installation
1. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal (taking into account the following points).
2. Moisten the seals with soapy water to facilitate the installation of the seals.
3. If the plastic seal film was damaged during removal, install a new film.
4. Install door trim.
Rear door power window
Follow the same steps as removing the front door window lifter (see above).
