Lubrication system

Removing
1. Remove the ground wire from the battery and drain the engine oil.
2. Apply the handbrake and raise the front of the vehicle.
3. On air-conditioned models where the compressor is installed on the sump side, remove the drive belt. Unscrew the bolt of the compressor and fix the compressor to the body. Do not unscrew pipes from the compressor.
4. Disconnect the wire from the oil temperature sensor, which is screwed into the sump.
5. Unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the pallet. The pallet mounting bolts are of different lengths, so they must be placed in such a way that they lock into place when installed.
6. Check the condition of the oil pump and the oil intake strainer.
7. On some models with a 1905 cc engine3 with 16 valves, a large plate is installed between the sump and the cylinder block, which is fastened with two screws diagonally across the plate.

Installation
1. Clean all traces of the gasket on the sump and cylinder block and wipe them dry.
2. Apply a thin layer of sealant to the gasket, install it on the pallet.
3. Install the pan with the gasket on the engine and screw it on.
4. On models with aluminum tray (without gasket), clean the surfaces of the sump and cylinder block and wipe them dry.
5. Apply a thin layer of sealant to the pan and install it on the engine.
6. Install the air conditioning compressor on a pallet.
7. Install drive belt.
8. Install wire to oil temperature sensor.
9. Lower the car and pour engine oil into the engine.
