Intake manifold
A - naturally aspirated engine,
B - turbocharged engine,
1 - manifold, 2 - receiver, 3 - mounting brackets to the cylinder head, 4 - boost radiator, 5 - air pipe between the turbocharger and radiator, 6 - turbocharger, 7 - intake manifold, 8 - seal, 9 - oil supply pipe, 10 - oil return pipe, 11 - intake manifold seal
Gas distribution system
1 - crankshaft, 2 - oil pump chain sprocket, 3 - pulley, 4 - pulley, 5 - toothed belt, 6 - bypass roller, 7 - belt tensioner, 8 - camshaft, 9 - pusher, 10 - valve
Partial removal of the camshaft timing belt (his top) is mandatory when removing and installing the cylinder head or camshaft, and when adjusting valve clearances.
Complete removal of the toothed belt is necessary when removing and installing the oil pump sprocket and chain, when removing and installing the water pump, when replacing the crankshaft O-ring on the belt side, and when removing the O-ring plate. Both types of belt removal are described together.
1. Remove the ground wire from the battery.
2. Turn the steering wheel to the right and remove the plastic protective cover from under the right wing.
3. On XUD 7TE engines, remove the air pipe located between the filter and turbocharger.
4. Unscrew the glow plugs.
5. Under the engine, on the drive side of the camshaft, place a support or support the engine on the right side with a jack.
6. Remove the right engine mount.
7. Release the tension roller and the fastening elements of the generator. Remove the V-belt.
8. Remove the lower latch of the casings and remove the hooks.
9. Remove the camshaft drive cover.
10. Remove the rubber support.
11. Install the engine elements in their original position and place the blocking elements (3 bolts and locking rod) in the flywheel, in the camshaft pulley and in the high pressure fuel pump pulley.
12. Release the fastening elements of the tension roller.
13. Using a square head wrench, retract the idler pulley and tighten the idler nuts.
14. Remove the clutch housing bottom plate and insert the flywheel locking tool.
15. Unscrew the shock-absorbing wheel and remove it together with the plastic casing.
16. Remove the toothed belt.
Attention! The toothed belt must not be bent. In addition, it must not come into contact with oil, water, coolant and grease.
