Dial indicator bracket and extension for Roto Diesel pump installation

1. Remove air from the fuel system.
2. Adjust idle speed.
3. Remove the cylinder head cover.
4. Install the engine crankshaft so that the #1 cylinder exhaust valve is at the start of the opening.
5. Remove the inspection hole cover (indicated by an arrow), located behind the pump.
6. Tilt the pump out of the engine.
7. Install extension cord (1) in control hole (see fig. Dial indicator bracket and extension for Roto Diesel pump installation).
8. Attach the dial gauge to the bracket (2).
9. Knot indicator-bracket (2) attach to the pump together with the handpiece (3).
10. intermediate element (A) connect with extension (1) and reset the dial indicator.
11. Crank the engine until the valves of cylinder #1 begin to open (this corresponds to the TDC of the piston of cylinder No. 4).
12. Lock the engine flywheel in this position.
13. Slowly turn the pump in the injection advance direction to set the value to 0.001 mm.
14. Screw the fasteners of the pump to the appropriate torque.
Checking the installation
The installation check is carried out in the same way as in the case of the Bosch pump (see description in subsection 3.2.4).
