Ignition coil (direct ignition) (Peugeot 405)

There are four separate ignition coils, one for each spark plug.

1. To gain access to the ignition coils, unscrew the eight bolts, marking the position of the electrical wiring bracket, and remove the additional cover from the central part of the cylinder head cover.

2. Remove the connector from the ignition coil and remove the coil from the spark plug along with the rubber insulation.
