1. Disconnect ground wire from battery.
2. Drain the coolant from the system.
3. Remove alternator V-belt.
4. Unscrew the three bolts securing the crankshaft pulley and remove the pulley.
5. Unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the three-piece toothed belt guard.
6. Rotate the crankshaft (for crankshaft pulley bolt) to a position where it is possible to insert a 6 mm locating rod, which serves to fix the flywheel (in the rear wall of the cylinder block), as well as an adjusting rod with a diameter of 10 mm for fixing the camshaft (in the front wall of the cylinder head).
7. Loosen the toothed belt tensioner bolt and remove the toothed belt from the water pump pulley.
8. Unscrew the bolts securing the coolant pump to the cylinder block and remove the pump.
9. Remove seal from pump.
10. The pump is installed in the reverse order.
