Installing a Used Belt
1. Remove the crankshaft pulley.
2. Install plastic covers: lower right, upper, lower left.
3. Install flywheel lock (Facom D 86) and tighten the crankshaft pulley bolt to 110 Nm.
4. Remove the flywheel lock.
5. Install the bottom sheet covering the clutch housing.
6. Install the side cover.
7. Install the alternator drive belt and tighten it with a force of 600 N (60 kg), if it is new, or with a force of 400 N (40 kg), if it was previously used. Use a Krikit control tool or similar.
Installing a new belt
1. Install flywheel lock (Facom D 86) and tighten the crankshaft pulley bolt to 110 Nm.
2. Remove the flywheel lock.
3. Install the upper belt cover.
4. Install and tension the alternator drive belt.
5. Start the engine, which should run until the fan turns on, and then wait until it cools down (at least two hours with the hood open).
6. Set the piston of cylinder 1 to TDC. The sign on the flywheel must be opposite the sign "0" on the ignition adjustment plate, and the pin hole in the pulley must be at the two o'clock position on the watch dial.
7. Loosen and tighten the idler roller retainer nuts and the eccentric locknut.
8. Install the flywheel lock.
9. Remove the alternator drive belt.
10. Install plastic covers: lower right, upper, lower left.
11. Install pulley and tighten bolts to 110 Nm.
12. Remove the flywheel lock.
13. Install the bottom sheet covering the clutch housing.
14. Install and tension the alternator drive belt.
15. Install the side cover.
