Differential disassembly (Peugeot 405)

In case of damage to the driven gear of the final drive, do not remove the gear from the crankcase, it is better to replace the entire assembly (gear with box).

1. Remove the fixing ring of the pinion shaft.

2. Remove pinion axle and remove pinion pins.

3. Remove side gears and differential basket.

4. Remove the speedometer drive worm and tapered bearings from the differential housing.
