Driver side airbag
2. Remove the 2 airbag mounting screws located at the rear of the steering wheel. Turn the steering wheel to access the screws.
3. Set the steering wheel to drive straight ahead and remove the airbag from it. Disconnect the electrical connector from the rear of the airbag.
4. To install, connect the electrical connector to the airbag, install the airbag in the center of the steering wheel and secure with the screws to the correct torque. In this case, first screw in the left fixing screw.
5. Connect the electrical connector to the airbag control unit and install the center console.
6. Check that no one is inside the car and connect the battery. Through the open door, turn the key in the ignition switch and check the operation of the security system by illuminating the warning lamp.
Passenger side airbag
7. Remove the instrument panel.
8. Unscrew the nuts (indicated by arrows) securing the airbag and remove it from the dashboard.
9. Install the airbag in the instrument panel and secure with nuts.
10. Install the instrument panel and connect the battery.
Airbag control unit
11. Unscrew the nuts (indicated by arrows) fasteners and remove the airbag control unit from the vehicle.
12. Install the airbag control unit so that the arrow on the top of the unit points towards the front of the vehicle. Secure the block with nuts, tightening them to the required torque.
13. Connect the electrical connector to the unit and install the center console.
14. Check that no one is inside the car and connect the battery. Through the open door, turn on the ignition and check the security system by turning on the airbag warning lamp.
Airbag enable wire
15. Remove the airbag from the driver's side and remove the steering wheel. Set the front wheels to drive straight ahead.
16. Unscrew screws of fastening of the bottom casing of a steering column and remove its top and bottom casings.
17. Disconnect the electrical connector of the cruise control system or the radio switch.
18. Trace the wire down from the airbag contact and disconnect the electrical connector located on the wire.
19. unscrew the screws (indicated by arrows in the photo on the left) and remove the contact from the top of the steering column (photo on the right).
20. Before installing, check that the airbag contact is installed in accordance with the marks (indicated by arrows) on top of the contact and that the front wheels are set to drive straight ahead.
21. Install the airbag contact, check that the wiring is correct and secure the contact with screws.
22. Connect the electrical connector of the wire going to the airbag contact.
23. Connect the electrical connector of the cruise control system or turn on the car radio and install the covers on the steering column.
24. Install the steering wheel and airbag.
