Left crankshaft seal (Peugeot 406)

1. Remove flywheel and clutch.

2. Measure the installation depth of the O-ring. Remove the O-ring using the special tool. Alternatively, drill two small holes in the end of the o-ring, screw in two self-tapping screws and use pliers, behind the screw heads, to pull the o-ring out of its socket. Clean the O-ring seat and crankshaft sealing surface. Dip the new O-ring in clean engine oil and install it into the seat to the previously measured depth using an appropriate drift.

3. Install the flywheel.
