Checking the cylinder head bolts (Peugeot 406)

1. It is recommended to replace the cylinder head bolts each time the head is removed.

2. Measure the length of the bolt from the base of the bolt head to the end of the bolt and compare it to the required length. With a bolt length of 145.0–146.5 mm, it is possible to reuse bolts with washers, and for longer lengths, it is necessary to replace the bolts and washers with new ones.
