Manual priming pump
After any disconnection of the fuel system, air can enter it and must be removed.
In the case of complete depletion of fuel from the fuel tank, it is not necessary to completely fill the fuel tank and bleed the fuel system, it is enough to add fuel to the fuel tank and start the engine with the starter with the accelerator pedal fully depressed. After starting the engine, slightly increase the idle speed to complete the bleeding of the fuel system.
All models have a manual priming pump in the form of a rubber pear, which is located on the right side of the engine compartment.
1. Loosen the bleed screw located in the fuel pump feed line connection bolt.
2. Operate the priming pump until fuel comes out from under the bleed screw without air bubbles. Tighten the bleed screw.
3. Turn the ignition on to activate the engine stop solenoid valve and continue pumping with the priming pump until you feel significant resistance.
4. If a large amount of fuel has entered the pump, place a rag over the connection of the fuel return hose and pump the priming pump (with ignition on) or cranking the engine with a starter until clean fuel comes out of the connection. Tighten the connection.
5. If air has entered the nozzles, put rags on the connection of pipelines to the nozzles and loosen these connections. Crank the engine over with the starter until clean fuel comes out of the connections and retighten the connections.
6. Start the engine with the accelerator pedal fully depressed.
