Removing
1.6 liter engine models
Top casing
1. Remove the fuel supply hoses from the upper casing clamps.
2. Unscrew the two mounting bolts located at the base of the casing, and remove the casing from the engine compartment.
Central casing
3. Remove the two center cowl mounting bolts located at the bottom of the cowl, move the cowl up to release it from the two dowel pins located at the cowl base, and remove it from the engine compartment.
Bottom casing
4. Remove the crankshaft pulley.
5. Remove the center cover.
6. Unscrew the two bolts securing the lower casing and remove it.
Attention! On some models, it may be necessary to unscrew the drive belt tensioner assembly mounting bolt and remove it from the engine to allow the timing belt guard to be removed.
1.8 and 2.0 liter engine models
Top casing
1. Unscrew the upper and lower bolts securing the upper outer casing to the inner one. Pull the top cover up.
Bottom casing
2. Remove the crankshaft pulley.
3. Remove the top outer casing. Unscrew the three bolts securing the lower casing of the toothed belt from the engine.
Attention! On some models, it may be necessary to unscrew the drive belt tensioner assembly mounting bolt and remove it from the engine to allow the timing belt guard to be removed.
Upper inner casing
4. Remove the timing belt drive timing.
5. Remove pulleys from both camshafts.
6. Unscrew six bolts of fastening of an internal casing to a head of the block of cylinders and remove an internal casing from the engine.
Installation
Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
