Before repairing the engine, it is necessary to remove from it:
- generator;
- thermostat and coolant outlet pipe (gasoline engines);
- thermostat housing and fuel filter (diesel engines);
- pipe for oil level gauge;
- electrical switches and sensors;
- intake and exhaust manifolds;
- oil filter;
- engine support brackets;
- flywheel.
If it is only necessary to repair the cylinder block, crankshaft, pistons and connecting rods, then it is necessary to remove the cylinder head, oil pan, oil pump and toothed belt.
If it is necessary to carry out a complete overhaul, it is necessary to remove from the engine:
- intake and exhaust manifolds;
- toothed belt, pulleys and tension mechanism;
- cylinder head;
- flywheel;
- oil pan;
- oil pump;
- pistons with connecting rods;
- crankshaft.
