Removing
1. Remove the brake disc (see relevant chapter)
2. Remove the protective cap 1 by prying it with a screwdriver, unscrew the nut 2 of the hub, remove the washer 3 (see illustration).

3. Remove the hub together with the bearing 4 using a universal two- or three-jaw puller «A» (see illustration). The jaws of the puller are mounted around the circumference of the hub, the push rod must be located in the middle of the drive shaft shank in the hub so as not to damage the threads.

4. Remove the inner ring 5 of the bearing from the drive shaft shank in the hub (see illustration). The jaws of the puller must be set so as to capture the ring by its inner side.

Installation
5. Clean the hub axle and beat the hub with a rubber or plastic mallet until it is firmly seated.
6. Press in the bearing 6 of the hub, for which install the mandrel «A» of a suitable diameter onto the hub axle, then screw on the old nut «b» hub and tighten until the bearing is fully seated (see illustration).

7. Remove all attachments after installing the hub.
8. Install a new washer 7, screw on a new nut 8 of the hub (see illustration), having previously lubricated its threads and contact surfaces. Tighten the hub nut to 280 Nm.
9. Cotter the hub nut, stuff a new protective cap with a wooden hammer.
10. Install the rear brake disc (see relevant chapter).
