When performing any work on the diesel engine power supply system, cleanliness must be observed.
1. Before disconnecting or connecting the power wire to the injection pump or preheater, the ignition must be turned off.
2. Disconnect the battery only after turning off the ignition. Please note that disconnecting the battery will remove the security code that your radio may have.
3. Before starting work on the power supply system, ensure that the workplace is clean. If these works are carried out in non-open air, then this is possible only in calm weather to prevent dust from entering the parts of the power system.
4. Clean all union nuts before unscrewing them,
5. Lay all removed parts on a workbench or other surface and cover with paper or plastic wrap. Do not use fluffy rags.
6. If the installation of the removed parts will be made only after a certain time, then these parts should be covered properly or placed in lockable boxes or boxes.
7. Before installing the parts, check again that they are not dirty.
8. Do not use compressed air to clean parts if the fuel injection system is open
9. Do not wash the engine with the fuel injection system open.
10. Do not move the vehicle if the fuel injection system has been removed.
11. Make sure that diesel fuel does not get on the cooling system hoses. If fuel gets on the hose, it must be immediately wiped with a rag. Hoses exposed to diesel fuel must be replaced.
