2. Disconnect the terminals from the battery poles.
3. Drain the coolant, see relevant chapter.
4. Remove the mounting bolts and move the power steering pump and power steering reservoir to the side.
5. Remove the engine control unit along with the support bracket.
6. Disconnect all wires from the engine and transmission, and also remove the sensors, which can be damaged when dismantling the power unit.
7. Disconnect the cooling hoses from the engine and remove the fuse box.
8. Remove the air filter by disconnecting the supply air duct from the throttle valve and the plug of the mass air flow sensor.
9. Remove the battery and its tray.
10. Remove the engine top cover, relay box and radiator.
11. Disconnect from a box draft of a choice and a gear change.
12. Unscrew the mounting bolts and shift the air conditioning compressor to the side without disconnecting the hoses and refrigerant circulation pipes from it.
13. Disconnect both drive shafts from the gearbox and secure them with wire to the body to prevent damage to the CV joints.
14. Disconnect from final collectors reception pipes. It is also recommended to unscrew both lambda probes and disconnect the exhaust pipes from the catalytic converters.
15. Disconnect the speedometer drive cable from the gearbox.
16. Raise the engine with a hoist or winch to relieve the engine mounts.
5.16 Raise the power unit to relieve its suspension mounts
Attention! In workshops, a special beam 1 is used to lift the engine, which is attached to the corresponding lugs on the engine (see illustration).
17. Disconnect the left engine mount (see arrows in illustration).
5.17 Disconnect the left engine mount (see arrows)
18. Unscrew the mounting bolts and disconnect the right engine support (see arrows in illustration).
5.18 Unscrew the mounting bolts and disconnect the right engine support (see arrows)
19. Disconnect the gearbox mount and remove the power unit from the engine compartment.
The installation of the power unit is carried out in the reverse order of its removal.
Tightening torques for threaded connections:
- gearbox mounting bolts - 30 Nm;
- gearbox support nut - 80 Nm
- engine mounting bolts - 50 Nm.
